Legal Intern

Team: Legal

Location: Durham, NC

Hours: Full-Time; 10-12 weeks

Direct/Related Experience: Not required

Education Status Preferred: Graduate; Law

Salary: $14.00/hr. for Graduate Students

Major Duties:

Support in-house legal staff in a nonprofit corporate setting
Draft transactional documents for commercial lending and real estate teams
Conduct research on laws governing tax-exempt organizations and financial institutions

Additional Skills Needed:

Excellent legal research and writing skills
Experience or interest in finance and other transactional work, tax-exempt organizations and economic development activities
Strong team player
Creative thinker
